Our current facilities include a renovated dairy barn housing a professional kitchen (Porterfield Hall) and retreat space. For an overnight stay, Starr’s House is capable of sleeping up to 28 people where guests can relax in the lounge area or watch a presentation in the outdoor amphitheater. Our newest building, the Meador Natural Science Education Center, offers lovely meeting space with a stone fireplace upstairs and classroom space downstairs. All buildings have wrap-around porches to encourage lingering in the outside to enjoy the views and fresh country air.

We have hosted a wide range of retreat guests, including Hollins University, Cox Communications, Allstate, Roanoke College, and Leadership Roanoke Valley. Civic and humanitarian organizations, church groups and families , who continue to return to our facility year after year to take advantage of the team challenge course, hiking trails, picnic area and ball fields. We even had a child’s birthday party featuring an environmental education experience for 20 five year-olds.

The recent expansion of our facilities, the climbing tower, dark sky observatory, high ropes course and a swimming pool add a mountain of possibilities for your group to enjoy.
